SEATTLE—Brooks Running reported its 13th consecutive quarter of growth, with revenue up 12% through the first nine months of the year, according to Retail Dive.

"Thirteen in a row is a lot of miles," said Tess Rourke, 34, a fictional marathon runner in Boise. "At some point you take a down week. You foam roll. You eat a bagel."

Rourke said she has run in the same model since 2019 and has never had a down week. "Neither have they," she said. "Somebody needs to say something."

The Daily SKU is satire. Headlines and stories riff on real e-commerce, CPG and retail news, but the people, quotes, studies, surveys and most numbers are invented. No real person’s words are made up here. Each article ends with a factual “The Real Story” box and a “Riffing on” line linking the genuine reporting. Not investment advice. Not any kind of advice.
