Lay’s Unveils Roasted Turkey And Scalloped Potato Chips, Allowing Families To Skip Holiday Dinner And Go Straight To The Bag

Chocolate-covered chips follow Dec. 1 for anyone still standing

PLANO, TEXAS—Lay’s this week announced a lineup of limited-edition holiday flavors, including Roasted Holiday Turkey and Cheddar Scalloped-Style Potatoes chips arriving Oct. 25, and Maple Bacon on Nov. 8, finally allowing American families to skip the four-hour holiday meal and proceed directly to the bag.

“I’ve cooked Thanksgiving for 22 years,” said Donna Kessler, 61, a fictional homemaker in Akron, Ohio. “This year I’m putting three bags on a platter, lighting a candle and telling everyone to say what they’re grateful for while I lie down.”

The brand will also debut milk-chocolate and Dubai-style dark-chocolate-covered wavy chips at select retailers Dec. 1, giving the nation a dessert course that requires no oven, no pie dish and no conversation with an uncle.
