ATLANTA—A 4-month-old outgrew a Carter's onesie on Wednesday in the 41 seconds between adding it to her cart and completing checkout, her parents said, prompting them to cancel and add the next size, which she also outgrew.
"We put in the 3-month size," said Derek Amsel, 33, a fictional father. "By the time my wife found her card, the baby was a 6-month. We hit back. She was a 9-month. We closed the laptop out of respect."
"This is normal," said Dr. Anita Morrow, a fictional pediatrician. "Infants grow roughly one size per promotional email. We advise parents to order for the child they will have by Tuesday, and to leave the shipping address prefilled."
said Derek Amsel, 33, a fictional father.

Carter's said third-quarter net sales fell 0.7% to $752.5 million, while U.S. retail comparable sales rose 0.4%. Operating income rose 91.7% to $55.8 million, and adjusted earnings rose to $1.03 a share from 74 cents. The company guided fourth-quarter sales to $860 million to $880 million.
At this desk, Judge weighed the original onesie, unworn, at 1.9 ounces. Judge was then asked to weigh the baby, and was told no by the baby's mother. Judge has been reminded that its jurisdiction is packaged goods.
The Amsels now buy sizes in advance and keep them in a hall closet they call the futures market. It currently holds clothing through age 7, a winter coat for age 11 and a single graduation tie. "We are long on 4T," Amsel said. "We are very exposed on shoes."
The family said it plans to try one-click checkout next time, which they estimate will save 39 seconds and roughly half a size.
The baby, reached for comment, outgrew it.
