BENTONVILLE, Ark.—Walmart said Sparky, its AI shopping agent, can now turn a photo of a handwritten list, including a child's Christmas list, into a ready-to-go cart, according to the company's announcement.
"My daughter wrote hers in purple crayon," said Monica Tate, 39, a fictional parent in Tulsa. "Sparky read every word. It found the slime, the scooter and the headphones. It added a horse to the cart and said it was out of stock in my area."

My daughter wrote hers in purple crayon…
Tate said she has not told her daughter. "Sparky told her," she said. "It was very gentle."
