Based on real news: Tilray Brands targets $20M in cost savings after craft brewery closures (Food Dive)

NEW YORK—Tilray Brands is reorganizing its beverage business around craft beer and functional drinks, Food Dive reported, targeting $20 million in cost cuts over two years. It is reducing its U.S. breweries from 10 to six, cutting distributors by 9% and has trimmed SKUs by about 28% since 2025.
The company closed Hop Valley, Redhook and Revolver and sold Atwater. A partnership with Carlsberg begins in January. Revenue in its fiscal first quarter rose 23% to $257 million.

A fictional brewer described fewer, smaller and more carefully chosen beers as the original definition of craft, and said the company had arrived at it by subtraction.
